Delhi polls: At election rallies, Atishi and Bhagwant Mann warn against voting for 'wrong party'
NEW DELHI: Chief minister Atishi held a public meeting in Kalkaji on Monday and outlined key proposals for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Election. Atishi, who is contesting from the area, promised that under a re-elected AAP govt, every woman in Delhi would receive Rs 2,100 per month, and senior citizens would receive free medical treatment.
"During elections, people from all quarters will come and make various claims - some will try to coax you, others will attempt to deceive or provoke you. If we mistakenly vote for the wrong party, the decision cannot be reversed for five years," Atishi said.

The CM stated, "BJP governs 20 states. I challenge their candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri, to name just one state where there is 24-hour free electricity. The people must now decide whether they want zero electricity bills or Rs 4,000 electricity bills." Bidhuri is the BJP's candidate from the Kalkaji seat.
The CM accused Bidhuri of making derogatory remarks against her and other leaders. "If he can abuse me, the chief minister, how will he treat ordinary women? Will women feel safe visiting his office?" she asked.
Atishi also touched upon issues affecting the local community, including water shortages in Pocket A14 and housing issues in Bhoomiheen Camp. "I've resolved many grievances, and I'll ensure more solutions if re-elected," she claimed.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann led roadshows in Model Town, Badli and Rohini. He appealed to the residents to vote for AAP in the upcoming Delhi polls. He claimed that by voting for AAP, Delhiites would secure their children's future. "They (BJP) don't talk about education, hospitals, or real issues. All they do is create divisions. We are not about fighting; we believe in unity," the Punjab CM claimed.
He added, "Arvind Kejriwal talks about schools, hospitals, infrastructure, electricity and water. Meanwhile, others make hollow promises like depositing Rs 15 lakh in your accounts. Now, they're saying they'll give Rs 2,500."
During his roadshow in Badli, Mann urged supporters to ensure that Delhi records the highest voter turnout for AAP this time.
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Punjab's education minister Harjot Singh Bains led a padyatra in the Bijwasan Assembly constituency.
