JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Exam: Guidelines, Dress Code, and Exam Details

The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam begins tomorrow, January 22, 2025, with Paper 1 (BE/BTech). Over 13.8 lakh candidates have registered for the session. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam has strict guidelines and a specific dress code that candidates must follow at the examination centers.

Exam Schedule
  • Paper 1 (BE/BTech):
    Dates: January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2025.

Shifts:

  • Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning):
    Date: January 30, 2025.
    Shift: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM

  • Dress Code for JEE Main 2025

    To ensure a smooth and secure exam process, the NTA has outlined a dress code for all candidates:

    For Male Candidates:
    • Avoid wearing caps, mufflers, or any head covering.
    • Choose comfortable and simple clothing
    without elaborate designs or accessories.
  • Jewelry such as chains, bracelets, and rings is strictly prohibited.
  • For Female Candidates:
    • Avoid wearing stoles, dupattas, scarves, or similar clothing items.
    • Refrain from wearing jewelry such as rings, earrings, bracelets, or necklaces.
    Items to Carry to the Exam Center
  • Admit Card: Mandatory for entry.
  • Valid Photo ID:
  • Aadhaar card or another government-issued ID.
  • Two Passport-Size Photographs.
  • Ballpoint Pen: Essential for rough work or signing.
  • Prohibited Items
    • Electronics: Mobile phones, earphones, microphones, smartwatches, calculators, pagers.
    • Stationery: Pencil boxes, handbags, purses, or any written material.
    • Clothing Accessories: Any items that violate the dress code, such as jewelry or bulky clothing.
    Exam Day Instructions
    • Arrival Time: Reach the exam center 2 hours prior to the start of the exam to complete formalities.
    • Seating Arrangement: Sit only on the designated seat mentioned on your admit card.
    • Entry Restrictions: Latecomers will not be allowed entry after the gate closes.
