The District Magistrate of Patna has issued an order to keep schools up to class VIII closed till January 23 due to cold. Also, classes above class VIII will run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. An official order has been issued in this regard. The order issued states that the order will come into effect in the Patna district from February 22, 2025, which will remain effective till February 23, 2025.

Other states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Haryana have also extended holidays due to weather conditions. Schools up to class 5 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh have been closed till January 25. Students studying above class 5 will have to attend classes between 10 am to 3 pm with revised timings. This order applies to all aided, recognized, and board schools.
