Shark Tank India 4: Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh accuse pitchers Rajesh and Aastha of making false promises in the deal; latter slams them 'hum apni zubaan ki khate hai'

In the latest episode of Shark Tank India 4 , pitchers Rajesh and Aastha from Jaipur come with their silver jewellery brand Shyle . Their brand aims to give authentic designer jewellery with Ancient Indian handcrafting methods like thappa, rava, chitai and more. Their ask for the deal is Rs 70 Lakhs for 1% equity.

Anupam then asks about their story and their company name. Aastha revealed, 'It rhymes with Style and we were getting the domain easily. We had gotten Shyle.in and we have recently acquired Shyle.com after negotiating for four years. We were able to acquire it last year." Anupam asked the cost, they shared, 'Sir we bought it for Rs 1,90,000 which is roughly $2000.' Anupam said, 'You guys are smarter than me. I had also negotiated for Shaadi.com and they took $25,000.'

Rajesh and Aastha then spoke about their educational qualifications and work experience. Aastha and Rajesh have been married for 9 years. Sharing their love story, Rajesh calls Aastha humble. Moving forward the sharks are quite impressed with the products. Soon they begin to understand the unit economics.

After understanding the business, Namita and Ritesh make a joint offer of Rs 70 Lakhs for 1.5% equity and 1% royalty till the principal amount is recouped. Anupam also made an offer of Rs 1.4 cr for 5% equity and asked the pitchers whether they wanted the royalty in Marwadi. After a discussion, the pitchers come up with a counteroffer without royalty. As they discuss, Anupam misinterprets 'he is saying baadmein dekh lenge' Vineeta says, 'aapka naam kharab hoga.' Anupam then says, 'I am 100% out, you just said 'baadmein dekh lenge' it is absolutely unacceptable.'

The pitchers then clarify that they didn't say that. Namita clarified if they take the deal they will have to give the 0.5% royalty. Rajesh says, 'Ma'am hum humari zubaan ki khate hai, hum waise log hai hi nahi jaise soch rahe hai.' And then they made a deal with Namita and Ritesh.
