'Flight Is Full And Couldn't Fit The Luggage': IndiGo Passenger Shares Flying Ordeal, Says Baggage Was Transported In Auto After Doha-Hyderabad Journey
IndiGo, India's largest airline, has often come under public scrutiny over its service and it has even made headlines over the insurmountable delays experienced by many domestic and international passengers.
In yet another instance of grave discomfort and inconvenience caused to IndiGo passengers, TCS employee Madhan Kumar Reddy shared his overwhelmingly bad experience while on an international visit.
Flight Too Full For Luggage
Reddy took LinkedIn to air his concerns. In his post addressed to IndiGo's official page on the website, Reddy said, I had the worst experience in travelling with indigo from Doha to Hyderabad on 11th Jan, when the indigo staff was left our Baggage in Doha and the reason they told us is very unbelievable “The flight is full and couldn’t fit the luggage” this they didn’t even inform passengers on the flight."
In addition, the passengers were only informed about these developments after they arrived in Hyderabad.
The user further added, "Once on the arrival of the Hyderabad when passengers are looking for the baggage most of the passenger's baggage’s missing, when approached the IndiGo staff, they are saying that the baggage will come by next 24hrs and asked all the passengers to report to the 14th belt baggage and provide the details."
IndiGo Staff Was Rude And Shouted
Reddy claimed that the IndiGo staff was not adequately co-operative and were rude to the passengers who were vying to get their luggages. One of the staff members, allegedly even shouted at the passengers.
After all this chaos, the beleaguered passengers were assured of a timely delivery of their belongings.
The IndiGo staff assured that baggage will be delivered to the traveller's address within 24 hours but its arrived nearly 3 days later on January 14.
Luggage In Auto
The luggage, some of which included perishable and luxury items, including watches were transported in a disorganised and haphazard manner in an auto truck, with an open end.
IndiGo's Poor Global Ranking
Reddy attached photos of the same to the post.
In a 2024 report, aviation and passenger welfare organisation AirHelp gave IndiGo a score of 4.80, placing it at the 103rd spot among 109 airlines in the list, making it not only the worst airline in India but also putting it at the bottom of a global list.
One of the key factors in this report was luggage displacement.
IndiGo had banished these reports and their merits then.
