'Ye Aapda, Delhi Par Aayi Hai': PM Modi's BIG Attack On AAP Ahead of Assembly Polls, Calls Kejriwal 'Kattar Beiman' - VIDEO
New Delhi: The political atmosphere has heated up in Delhi ahead of the assembly polls. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi while addressing a gathering after inaugurating 1,675 newly constructed flats at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar. PM Modi called AAP "aapda (disaster" and urged the people to bring change in Delhi.
The Prime Minister said, "..Ye AAP, ye 'aapda', Delhi par aayi hai', and hence the people of Delhi has waged a war against 'aapda'. Voters of Delhi have made up their minds to free Delhi from this 'aapda'. Every voter of Delhi is saying, 'aapda ko nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge (We will not bear the disaster, we will bring change)".
In an apparent dig at AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, PM Modi stated that a few (kattar beiman (dishonet) people have pushed Delhi towards a disaster by keeping Anna Hazare at the front.
"In the last 10 years, Delhi is surrounded by an 'aapada'. By keeping Anna Hazare at the front, a few 'kattar beimaan' people have pushed Delhi towards 'aapada'. AAP aapada bankar Delhi par toot padi hai," the Prime Minister said.
Notably, Anna Hazare launched an anti-corruption campaign in Delhi in 2011 and Kejriwal was considered his close aide. However, Hazare parted ways with Kejriwal after he decided to come into politics.
In another veiled dig at Kejriwal, PM Modi said that even he could have made 'sheeeshmahal'. He targeted the former Delhi chief minister for allegedly constructing a luxurious residence for himself as CM.
"The country knows it well that Modi never built a home for himself but has built more than 4 crore houses for the poor... 'Mai bhi koi sheeshmahal bana sakta.." (I could have also built a palace for myself)'. I urge all of you, whenever you interact and meet with slum dwellers, to ensure to tell them on my behalf that they will definitely get pucca houses, if not today, then tomorrow," the PM said.

"Today the whole country is engaged in building a 'developed India'. We are working with the resolve that every citizen of the country should have a permanent house in a 'developed India'. Delhi has a very big role in this resolution, hence the BJP-led central government started a campaign to build permanent houses in place of slums," he said.
"Our cities play a very important role in developing India. People from far-off places come here with their dreams and spend their lives honestly in fulfilling those dreams.
