BPL founder TPG Nambiar: BPL founder TPG Nambiar passed away at the age of 95. He is considered to have made a significant contribution to India's electronics industry.
TPG Nambiar: T. P. Gopalan Nambiar, founder of Indian electronics company BPL Group, died at his residence in Bengaluru on Thursday morning. Nambiar is survived by his wife Thankam, son Ajit, daughter Anju, daughter-in-law Meena, son-in-law Rajiv Chandrasekhar and grandchildren Shreya, Devika and Ved.
Expressing grief over the demise of Nambiar, Prime Minister Modi has said, "TPG Nambiar was a great innovator and industrialist, who was a strong supporter of making India economically strong. I am saddened by his demise. My condolences to his family and fans."
Apart from this, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly V.D. Satishan have expressed grief over the demise of Nambiar.

Nambiar was the father-in-law of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. His family members say that he was unwell for some time. He breathed his last at around 10:15 am.
Expressing grief over the demise of Nambiar, Karnataka Yeddyurappa in a post on 'X' said, "Saddened by the demise of BPL Group founder TP Gopalan Nambiar. His contributions will always be remembered. My condolences to his loved ones."
Meanwhile, Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his condolences and said, "As the founder of BPL, he was a prominent figure in the Indian business world, who played an important role in advancing the telecom industry in India."
