A retired professor from Coimbatore, S Kamaraj, had filed a petition and made several serious allegations against the foundation. Kamaraj has alleged that the spiritual guru has brainwashed his two daughters. After hearing Kamaraj's petition, the court had made several comments. Kamaraj alleged that his daughters were forced to stay permanently at the Isha Yoga Center. He also alleged that the organization does not allow him to talk to them. He alleged that his daughters are being held captive. During the hearing of the case in the court, both of Kamaraj's daughters said that they are staying there of their own free will. There is no pressure on them nor are they being kept there forcibly.

A statement said that the foundation was founded by Sadhguru to connect people with yoga and spirituality. The statement said that we believe that people have the freedom and intelligence to choose their own path. A public statement from the Isha Yoga Center said that we do not ask people to get married or become sanyasis as these are their personal choices.

The spiritual organization also claimed that when the people were presented before the court, they clearly stated that they are staying at the Isha Yoga Center of their own free will. No pressure is being exerted on them, nor are they living under anyone's pressure.

The foundation also said that the Isha Yoga Center is home to thousands of people who are not sanyasis and some have taken celibacy or sanyas. The monks were presented before the court and the monks themselves said everything clearly before the court. The monks have clearly said that they are living in the Isha Yoga Center of their own free will. He said that now that the matter is in court, we hope that the truth will come out and all unnecessary disputes will end.

According to the information, the Madras High Court has summoned a report from the Tamil Nadu government in this matter. After the court sought a report from the Tamil Nadu government on all the criminal cases registered against spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev, the Superintendent of Police of Coimbatore district started an investigation against the Isha Foundation.

On Tuesday, a contingent of 150 policemen reached the Isha Foundation for interrogation. Earlier, the Madras High Court had questioned why spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev was encouraging young women to renounce worldly life and live like sanyasis, especially when his own daughter is married.
