Car Engine Oil:  If the engine oil is not changed in the car on time, then it can lead to engine failure which will cost thousands of rupees.

Car Engine Oil:  The exact timing and kilometres to change the car's engine oil depends on the type of engine, type of oil, and driving conditions. However, it is generally recommended to change the engine oil every 7,000 to 10,000 kilometres. Some car manufacturers and service manuals may extend this interval to as high as 5,000 kilometres, especially if you regularly drive in difficult conditions (such as off-roading or heavy traffic).

When and why should engine oil be changed?

Preventing overheating: Engine oil helps keep the engine cool. When oil becomes dirty or old, it loses its ability to dissipate heat, which can cause the engine to overheat.

Reduced wear and tear: Regular oil changes increase engine life because they reduce wear and tear inside the engine.

Disadvantages of not changing engine oil on time:

Engine wear: If you do not change the oil on time, then there is increased wear between the moving parts of the engine, which can cause the engine to wear out quickly.

Overheating: Old oil cannot provide adequate cooling to the engine, which can cause the engine to overheat, which in turn affects engine performance.

Decrease in car performance: The power and mileage of the engine decreases. If the oil becomes too dirty, carbon can accumulate inside the engine, due to which the engine will not work properly.

Engine jamming: If the oil is not changed for a very long time, the engine may jam completely, leading to engine repair or replacement, which can be very expensive.

Extended Oil Interval:

Some modern cars use synthetic oil, which can last longer than normal engine oil. In such a case, the engine oil can be used for 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers or even more, but for this, the advice given in the car manual should be followed.

Driving conditions also matter:

City driving (heavy traffic with frequent stop-and-go traffic) puts more stress on the engine, so the oil may need to be changed sooner.

Highway driving involves constant smooth engine operation, so the oil may last longer.

Therefore, it is very important to change the engine oil on time as per the instructions given in your car manual.
