This is a fake IRS officer from Rajasthan who ruined the lives of 25 girls
Jaipur. A big fraud case has come to light in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where a man-made 25 girls his victims by introducing himself as the Zonal Director of the National Narcotics Bureau and an IRS officer. The accused had created fake profiles on social media to trap women working in government jobs. He befriended the girls by introducing himself as an IRS officer of the 2020 batch and then blackmailed them and took their obscene pictures. After this, he threatened them through these pictures and grabbed lakhs of rupees.
The case came to light when a girl got suspicious and lodged a complaint with the police. When the girl asked the accused for proof, he sent a document on a fake letterhead of the ministry with a fake signature of the Government of India. This document exposed the case and officials of the National Narcotics Bureau started investigating it. With the help of the girl, the police arrested the accused from a hotel in Jaipur. After the arrest, the accused continued to claim himself to be a 2020 batch IRS officer, but the police exposed his truth.
The accused has been identified as Ujjain resident Sarvesh Kumawat. He had earlier also made many girls victims of his fraud. According to the police, many obscene chats and pictures were found on the accused's mobile, which confirms that he extorted money from 25 girls. The police are now investigating the accused's bank accounts and other information.
This incident points towards a big network where fake officers and fraudsters cheat people in the name of government institutions. A similar case came to light a few days ago in Bihar. Where a young man made headlines by getting an IPS uniform stitched and then posing as an officer. He was later caught.
