Chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, arrived in America to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Where he had to face people's anger, protest, and serious allegations. Bangladeshi citizens in America gathered outside the hotel where the leader Mohammad Yunus had arrived and people protested against the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh and raised slogans.

 

Bangladeshi citizens in America raised the slogan of Step Down and expressed their anger. A protester said, Dr. Mohammad Yunus has gained power by going against the Constitution. He has gained power through dirty politics. He also said, that our elected PM Sheikh Hasina has not yet resigned. He appealed to the UN, that we do not want Mohammad Yunus to represent the Bangladeshi people here.

Hindus-Muslims-Christians killed

A protester said we believe in a secular democracy. Ever since Mohammad Yunus came to power, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians have been killed in the country. Our people are not safe in Bangladesh. A protester said I am here to protest against an illegal, unelected person representing 117 million people of Bangladesh. He has not been elected by the people, he has been appointed by the students. He does not care about minorities or anyone. He has taken over the country illegally.

 

Along with this, the protesters were seen standing in support of the country's former PM Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina's posters were seen in their hands, on which it was written that our PM is Sheikh Hasina and we stand with her.

 

After a long student movement in Bangladesh, there was a coup in the country and the then PM Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country. After this, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus on 8 August to once again establish order and system in the country. Mohammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government in Bangladesh, had arrived to attend the session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where he faced strong opposition from Bangladeshi citizens.
