Israel split into two over a ceasefire deal with Hamas.

There was no solution to the war that had been going on in Gaza for about 11 months. Months of talks under the mediation of America, Qatar, and Egypt remained inconclusive. The reason for this was the new conditions of the Israeli Prime Minister due to which Hamas refused to agree to the ceasefire deal.

On Saturday, the Israeli army recovered the bodies of 6 hostages from a tunnel in Gaza, which caused a lot of anger among the people of Israel. Thousands of people took to the streets and demanded a ceasefire deal from Netanyahu. The families of the hostages held by Hamas believe that only through this deal can their loved ones be brought back alive.

According to Israeli media, the hardline minister of the coalition government, Ben Gvir, is using his power to stop the talks for a ceasefire and release of hostages. According to reports, Ben Gvir has said, "Today we have power in the government and I have no shame in doing this that we are using our power to stop any kind of reckless deal and talks."

On Monday, the Israel Labor Federation called for a major strike demanding a ceasefire, which the court later declared illegal and ordered to be ended. This court order came after an appeal by right-wing minister Betzalel Smotrich, who called it an illegal political strike.

Earlier on Sunday, lakhs of Israeli citizens protested against the Netanyahu government, blaming the Netanyahu government for the death of 6 hostages and demanding a ceasefire deal and the release of the hostages. During this, there was also a clash between the police and the protesters.

It is clear that on the one hand the people of Israel are supporting the ceasefire deal, while on the other hand, right-wing leaders are trying their best to stop it.
