The tea she drank in Kabul cost Pakistan dearly, Taliban is taking revenge by shedding blood

Pakistan News: In September 2021, the then ISI chief General Faiz Hameed visited Kabul. There he was seen sipping tea. Pakistan is paying the price of that tea to date.

Pakistan is now hell-bent on destroying the Bhasmasura it nurtured. When the US left Afghanistan in 2021, Pakistan was elated. It left no stone unturned to woo the Taliban. Pakistan thought it would rein in the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), but the opposite happened. The situation has worsened so much that Pakistan's Deputy PM Ishaq Dar remembered an incident from 2021. According to Dar, the tea drunk by a three-star general of Pakistan in Kabul three years ago is responsible for the increase in the number of terrorist attacks. Dar, who also handles foreign affairs, made this remark during a press conference at the Pakistan High Commission in London.

The tea she drank in Kabul...

After the US left in August 2021, the Taliban ruled Afghanistan. In September, a special representative from Pakistan arrived there. General Faiz Hameed, the then chief of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, had reached Kabul. His pictures of drinking tea there went viral. During that time, he had told a journalist, 'Everything will be fine.' ISI's stance regarding the Taliban was changing and according to Dar, today Pakistan is paying the price for that tea.

ISI lost its senses in excitement

Without naming Hameed, Dar said, "The country is paying the price for that cup of tea in Afghanistan." The Deputy PM said that the decision taken by the General to release some terrorists was the reason behind the increasing attacks across Pakistan. He said, "The people released at that time are today the masterminds of terrorism in Balochistan."

The Deputy PM said that the then-ISI chief's visit to Kabul in 2021 could not have happened without the approval of then-PM Imran Khan. Dar said that the country is paying the price for Imran's mistakes on the economic and security front. Dar said, 'I find it difficult to accept that he (Hameed) could have gone without the permission of PM Sahab (Imran Khan). We are working on issues with the security establishment today, these things are not possible without the approval of the PM.'

There was a mistake in the Afghan strategy.

Pakistan welcomed the rise of the Taliban. It thought that the Taliban would take action against the TTP which had been creating problems for Pakistan for many years. But on the contrary, the TTP has intensified its attacks after the Taliban came to power. The situation in Balochistan is even worse. Dar's statement shows that perhaps the rulers of Pakistan have realized their mistake.
