Chirag Paswan Gets Enhanced Z Category Security with 33 Personnel Deployed
Union Minister and National President of the Lok Janshakti Party, Chirag Paswan, has had his security significantly upgraded. The Home Ministry has granted him Z category security, which involves the deployment of 33 soldiers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to ensure his safety.
Previously, SSB commandos were responsible for the security of Paswan, who also holds the position of Union Minister for Food Processing and Industries. With this new classification, the CRPF will now take over his security detail.
The enhanced security measures include 33 security guards, along with 10 armed static guards stationed at his residence. Additionally, he will have 6 personal security officers (PSOs) available at all times, 12 commandos providing armed escort in three shifts, 2 commandos assigned as watchers, and 3 trained drivers on duty around the clock.
In India, the government categorizes security for VVIPs into five levels: X, Y, Y Plus, Z, and Z Plus. The Special Protection Group (SPG) security is exclusively reserved for the Prime Minister, functioning as a separate force dedicated to this role.
