Singer Kesha recently shared how her breakup was influenced by a party hosted by Taylor Swift. Her former boyfriend ended their relationship after Kesha chose not to bring him to the event, suspecting he was more interested in her celebrity connections than in her.

The 37-year-old pop star, who released her comeback single "Joyride" earlier this year, explained that the song was inspired by a man she dated at the time. She had a hunch that he was not genuinely interested in her.

“The second it came out of my mouth, I was like, ‘This is my first single.’ It was me busting the door back down and saying, ‘No, no, it’s time to party again!’” she said. “We’re going to start with having fun, and then I’m going to try to dismantle all the shady. I had a feeling that he was in it for the wrong reasons.”

Kesha decided to put her theory to the test by inviting a friend to Taylor Swift’s party instead of him. The following day, he broke up with her.

Currently single, Kesha has found happiness in dating herself, realizing that she is "the one" for herself after years of searching for her soulmate.

“I’m only going to enter into a partnership again if someone treats me as well as I treat myself,” she said. “I kept hearing people say, ‘I’m looking for The One.’ I kept waiting for somebody else to fill that space, and then I just stepped into it myself. You gotta be all those things to yourself—your own boyfriend, sugar daddy, rich husband, best friend, cheerleader.”

Kesha has begun celebrating herself by taking luxurious vacations, buying herself flowers, and indulging in shopping sprees at high-end stores. “Yes, I take myself on really bougie dates, like really celebrating myself. Then 'Joyride' started being written in my mind. I was like, God, I am The One, though.”
