President-elect Donald Trump is urging the U.S. government to reveal more information about a series of mysterious drone sightings that have been causing concern among New Jersey residents. On Friday, Trump posted on his Truth Social network, questioning whether the government is truly unaware of the drones' origins.  I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now," Trump wrote, adding that if no information is released, the drones should be shot down.

The drone sightings have been reported across New Jersey and parts of New York. Residents have described seeing large, unidentified drones hovering over key infrastructure, including water reservoirs, electric transmission lines, and military sites. This has fueled concerns and sparked various theories, with some speculating that the drones may be linked to Iran or even alien activity.

U.S. Senator Andy Kim, a Democrat from New Jersey, recently joined local law enforcement officers on a patrol to observe the drones. Kim expressed frustration over the lack of clarity from the federal government, stating, "It's hard for people to feel secure when there are unexplained drones flying overhead and they are not getting responses they require from investigations from the Federal.

While the FBI, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and other national security officials have downplayed the threat, insisting there is no evidence of a security risk or foreign involvement, many residents remain anxious. The sightings have prompted a surge of activity on social media, where a Facebook group dedicated to solving the mystery has grown to nearly 32,000 members.

In an attempt to calm public concerns, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy reassured residents that authorities had not identified any immediate danger to public safety. However, Murphy echoed the calls for greater federal involvement in addressing the situation. Despite official reassurances, the mystery surrounding the drones continues to unsettle the local community.

The presence of drones in New Jersey has raised concerns and curiosity since their first sighting on November 18. The drones, which typically appear late at night, have been a recurring phenomenon, although it remains unclear if they appear every single night. Despite various speculations, including a claim from Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., suggesting that the drones could be linked to an Iranian "mothership" off the east coast, the Pentagon has firmly denied any military involvement. They have also dismissed the theory of a foreign origin, assuring that the mysterious drones are not affiliated with any government agency.
