Following that nail-biting cliffhanger involving Trixie Franklin (portrayed by Helen George), BBC viewers are on tenterhooks to see how these Yuletide specials unfold.
Call the Midwife's first of two Christmas specials is set to air on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Fans can also look forward to seeing more of the fresh-faced nurses Joyce Highland and Rosalind Clifford, brought to life by Renee Bailey and Natalie Quarry.
And of course, Call the Midwife wouldn't be complete without Cliff Parisi and Annabelle Apsion returning as Fred and Violet Buckle.
