After IPL, Virat Kohli & Jasprit Bumrah Receive Bumper Offer To Play In This T20 League
The third edition of the SA20 is all set to kick off on December 9 as six teams will be vying for that coveted title. The SA20 has emerged as one of the most successful T20 leagues all over the world and players from various countries have participated with utmost precision in the league. When it comes to cricket leagues, the Indian Premier League has been the pioneer of it. IPL has helped BCCI to generate crores of revenue, and it has also helped youngsters in honing skills and rubbing shoulders with foreign players in the dressing room. BCCI doesn't allow the Indian cricketers to take part in foreign leagues but after retirement Indian players are free to play as per their wish. The likes of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are flagbearers of Indian cricket. Both players have been pivotal to India's success with the recent being in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. They also have been central to RCB and Mumbai Indians' strategy and will play an integral part in IPL 2025 after being retained by their respective franchise. Former South African fast bowler feels Virat and Jasprit would be a great addition to SA20. As quoted by Hindustan Times the legendary cricketer said, "Oh my gosh, that's a—where do I start? Where do I start getting a player from there? My goodness me, jeez. If I'm a batter, I'm Virat Kohli all over there. If it's a bowler, 100 per cent Bumrah. 100 per cent. My goodness me, can you imagine that? Can you actually imagine some Indian players—or if you're allowed to pick one?" Dinesh Karthik will be seen in the SA20 for the very first time as he will feature in the tournament for Paarl Royals.
