London Shooting: Multiple Snipers, I-75 In Laurel County Shut Amid Active Shooter Situation

Amid the active shooter situation on a highway in London, Kentucky on Saturday, local media is reporting that the suspect/s are shooting possibly with multiple snipers. The Mayor of London, Randall Weddle, asked residents to avoid Interstate 75, which has since been shut down.The incident began just before 6 p.m. local time about nine miles outside of London, when officers were called for reports of multiple vehicles being fired at on Interstate 75 in Laurel County, Reuters reported citing multiple media accounts."Ky State Police and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office have closed I-75 at Mile Marker Exit 49 and US 25, Nine miles north of London due to an active shooter situation," Trooper Scottie Pennington, a spokesperson for Ky State Police, said on Facebook. "The Suspect has not been caught at this time we are urging people to stay inside!!We will try our best to get you as much information as it becomes available!!" Pennington added.

Local media reports are claiming that multiple people are dead, while several are injured. Some unverified reports claim that at least six people could be dead.
