CM to meet bizmen in Kolkata on Sept 20

Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav is set to visit Kolkata on Sept 20, where he will meet businessmen from the country and abroad to discuss investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

The visit is part of the ‘Road to GIS' series, wherein interactive sessions with industrialists are planned in different cities before the Global Investors Summit, which will be organised in Bhopal on Feb 7 and Feb 8 in 2025. CM Yadav has declared the year 2025 as the ‘Industry Year'.

Kolkata is one of the major industrial centres of the country, with diverse sectors like steel, plastic, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Leading industrialists from various sectors located in the West Bengal region have been invited.

CM will present his views to the industrialists in the interactive sessions, outlining the vision and innovations of the govt to promote investment, innovation, and economic development in MP in a sustainable manner.

Industrial policy and investment promotion principal secretary will give a presentation on investment opportunities in the state.

The MP govt has started a single window system to facilitate industrialists, which will play a decisive role in promoting industrial development. This event is an opportunity to explore the investment possibilities in MP. As a result of the discussions in these interactive sessions, investors will be encouraged to invest in the state, which will lead to economic development and increased employment opportunities.

The discussions held in interactive sessions with industrialists in Mumbai, Coimbatore, and Bangalore have attracted industrialists to invest in MP. Many industrialists have also signed MoUs to set up industries in MP.
