His attempts to contact her were unsuccessful, as she reportedly disconnects his calls.
He alleged that on Sept 23, he received a message from a mobile number, where the sender, identifying himself as Yogesh, threatened him with alleged compromising videos involving the complainant and his wife. In his messages, Yogesh demanded Rs 5 lakh, along with a divorce from the complainant's wife.
He further instructed the complainant to avoid appearing in court regarding any ongoing cases filed by his wife. Yogesh threatened that failure to comply would lead to the release of the alleged videos on pornographic websites, saying he would gain financially from such actions.
Police said that in subsequent messages, Yogesh also threatened the safety of the complainant's son, claiming he would kill the child and dispose of his body in the Upper Lake if his demands were not met.
On Sept 25, the complainant received an explicit photo allegedly involving his wife and Yogesh. Distressed and initially hesitant to report the incident, the complainant has now submitted the threatening messages and photographs as evidence, seeking action.
