Tusker tranquilised, fitted with radio collar in S'garh

Rourkela: A tusker was tranquilised and fitted with a radio collar in Koida forest range of Bonai forest division on Wednesday. The tusker was wreaking havoc in Koida and Barsuan forest ranges. It had killed over 10 people and destroyed homes and crops.

The operation, overseen by the principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife) and chief wildlife warden of Odisha, as well as the regional chief conservator of forests of Rourkela, was executed with the help of the veterinary units of Satkoshia and Rourkela forest divisions. TNN
