Arunachal min inaugurates India Pavilion at Smart City meet

Itanagar: State urban affairs minister Balo Raja on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘India Pavilion' for Smart City Mission in Barcelona, Spain.

Raja, who is on a delegation tour to Barcelona to attend the Smart City Expo World Congress, was accompanied by ministry of housing and urban affairs (MHUA) smart city joint secretary and mission director Dinesh Patnaik and MHUA smart city mission director Manoj Sharav. State urban affairs department commissioner Vivek Pandey and town planning director Likha Suraj are also part of the delegation, a press release said.

The minister will also visit Zurich in Switzerland from November 8 to 10 to study the Smart City Mission.

Arunachal Pradesh is developing Itanagar and Pasighat into smart cities, under PM Narendra Modi's vision for developing 100 smart cities. The expo will benefit the state in its endeavours to improve the smart cities, the release stated.
