Man dies after dispute over vehicle parking in Madurai

Madurai: A brawl between two men over parking of vehicles on the road near Silaiman in Madurai district on Monday night led to the death of one of the men.

The deceased was identified as Somasundaram, 52, of Maharajan Nagar, Viraganur. He worked as a photographer for a Tamil media outlet. On Monday night, Somasundaram parked his two-wheeler in front of his house. At that time, Kesavan, 42, who also resided in the same area, was crossing near Somasundaram's house and asked him to move his two-wheeler. This led to an argument, which escalated with Somasundaram's son also intervening.

Following a brawl and pushing, Somasundaram sustained injury and fell ill. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he died on the way. The Silaiman police are investigating further.
