Bright minds vie for top honours in MNLU-hosted 4th National Technology Law Moot Court
Nagpur: The Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Nagpur, organised the 4th MNLU-Nagpur National Technology Law Moot 2025 from March 28 to 30, bringing together the brightest legal minds. Over 40 universities registered, with 20 teams qualifying for the offline rounds. The moot problem, focused on Technology and Insolvency Law, was drafted by Chitra Rentala, partner, Trilegal.
The event was held under the patronage of Pro Vijender Kumar, vice-chancellor, and Vivek B Gavhane, registrar and district judge, with guidance from faculty advisors Prof Divita Kothekar and Prof Sanya Agrawal. The Moot Court Committee, led by Soham Kale, coordinated the event, supported by Trilegal (title partner), Fox Mandal & Associates (internship partner), Legal Lock (knowledge partner), and SCC Times (media partner).
The inaugural ceremony on March 28 was graced by Justice BP Dharmadhikari, former chief justice of Bombay High Court. The preliminary and quarter-final rounds were held on March 29, followed by the semi-finals on March 30, judged by leading legal professionals.
The final round saw Government Law College, Mumbai (Team TVulture) compete against NMIMS' Kirit P Mehta School of Law, Mumbai (Team Tenring) before a five-judge bench, including Justice Mukulika S Jawalkar and Justice MW Chandwan, of Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench. (Reporting by N Soumya)
