Central India College of Pharmacy, Lonara, distributes 3,000 Ashwagandha saplings
Nagpur: Central India College of Pharmacy (CICP), Lonara, organised Ashwagandha sapling distribution programme in collaboration with Abdul Rashid High School, Sambhal-Pimpri, Yavatmal, recently.
The project was undertaken under the auspices of Ministry of Ayush. The main purpose of the programme was to create awareness about the importance and medicinal uses of Ashwagandha plant and how to cultivate it. It was inaugurated by principal Mohammed Rizwan.
A total of 3,000 saplings of Ashwagandha and leaflets were distributed to the students and locals of Yavatmal. Addressing the gathering, Iftesham Ansari spoke about the medicinal uses of Ashwagandha, chemical index, cultivation, etc. Principal Sayyed Sajauddin Gulab, Massarat Ali, Rani Rode and others were present on the occasion. Ansari proposed a vote of thanks.
