Sai Baba's original padukas to arrive in city on April 26
Nagpur: In a rare spiritual event, the original ‘Charma Charan Padukas' of Shri Sai Baba will be brought to Nagpur for public darshan on April 26 and 27. Organised jointly by Shri Sai Baba Seva Mandal and Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, the event will be held at Shri Sai Mandir, Wardha Road.
This marks the fourth visit of the sacred padukas to the city, with earlier visits in 1976, 1979, and 2018. Considered highly sacred, these padukas were worn by Sai Baba himself and are preserved at the Shirdi Sansthan museum. Their arrival will be marked by a grand welcome at Nagpur airport at 9.30am on April 26, followed by a palkhi procession to the temple at 10am. A ceremonial padya pujan and noon aarti will take place before the padukas are placed for public darshan till night. On April 27, darshan will begin at 5.30am.
Organising committee led by secretary Avinash Shegaonkar, president Omprakash Yadav, and treasurer Rajendra Deshmukh have invited devotees to participate in large numbers.
