Garhwa DC acts against several officials for financial irregularities
Garhwa: Deputy commissioner Shekhar Jamuar on Saturday initiated action in three separate cases of alleged financial irregularities involving Rampur PACS in Majhioan block, Abua Awas Yojana, and Maiya Samman Yojna in Kharondhi block of Garhwa district.
An FIR has been lodged against Rampur Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) president Ravindra Singh for irregularities in purchase of paddy. "Legal action will be taken against those involved in irregularities in govt scheme," the DC said, adding action will be taken against the PACS president under relevant section of the BNS.
The DC said largescale irregularities and black marketing have been done during purchase of paddy in Rampur under Majhioan block. Only 2693 quintal paddy was found in his godown against 5375 quintal. While mukhiya and panchayat sevak have been suspended, Kharondhi BDO Ravindra Kumar and block co-ordinator Raviranjan has been showcause for dereliction in supervision.
In connection with alleged allotment of Abua Awas Yojna to illegible beneficiaries in Kharondhi panchayat, panchayat secretary Shashi kumar has been suspended with immediate effect. Recommendation has also been sent to the state election commission for suspension of Kharondhi mukhiya Manju Devi.
Jamuar also said CSC operators of Kupa panchayat in Kharondhi, Navneet kumar Patel, Satyanarayan Gupta and Ajeet Parjapati have forged names of legible beneficiaries of Maiya Samman Yojna and given the benefit to those close to them by changing bank IFSC codes. "Following this, money of seven beneficiaries went into the account of Reshmi Devi w/o CSC operator Navneet Patel. Similarly, money of five beneficiaries went to the account of CSC operator Satyanarayan Gupta and money of nine beneficiaries was transferred to the account of CSC operator Ajeet Parjapati's mother Lalti Devi," said the DC.
