'Contribute to India's vision of developed nation'
Vadodara: Meaningful change begins with personal growth, empowering graduates to lead innovations so that they can contribute to India's vision of a developed nation by 2047. This is what industrialist and chairman of the Torrent Group, Sudhir Mehta, said while addressing the graduating students at the 14th annual convocation ceremony of Changa-based Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) on Saturday.
Mehta delivered the convocation address, emphasising India's advancements in technology, from artificial intelligence and virtual classrooms to digital transactions, and their transformative impact on every sector, including healthcare, climate modelling, and public welfare.
Acknowledging the shifting global order, he urged the graduates to embrace their responsibility as future leaders by contributing to India's vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He encouraged them to seek opportunities for a sustainable future, adopt a mindset of doing good for others, and drive innovation to ensure human well-being and a sustainable world, likening this to a potential new revolution in history.
A total of 2,725 degrees, including those to 39 gold medallists and 37 PhD graduates, were conferred. The convocation ceremony was held under the presidentship of Surendrabhai Patel.
