Married man attempts to rape 8-yr-old

Bhopal: A 40-year-old man tried to rape an eight year old. The girl was saved and the accused was handed over to the police. The incident took place in the jungles of Suhaya in the city outskirts.

The case was registered at the Berasia police station of the city on the survivor's mother's complaint. The police said the accused is a distant cousin of the survivor. He came to her home on Saturday and told her mother that he is taking the girl with him. Police said since the accused was a relative, the girl's mother agreed. Earlier too he had taken the survivor with him.

Cops said the accused was on a bike and appeared drunk. While he was taking the survivor on bike, few people began to doubt him and they followed, which led to his arrest.
