Vadodara: The city police have made elaborate arrangements for processions to be brought out on the occasion of Ram Navami in the city. A large number of personnel have been mobilised to maintain law and order during the festival on Sunday.

Police were on their toes during the festival in March 2023 when stone pelting occurred during processions on Ram Navami.

A series of small and large processions are planned this year, and some of them pass through sensitive areas.

One IG, seven DCPs, 13 DySPs, 60 inspectors, and 155 sub-inspectors will be on duty. Besides, 2,230 police personnel and 700 home guard jawans will be on duty. The deployment also includes of SRP personnel.

CCTV and drone cameras will be used to keep an eye on the processions.
