Kavali bids tearful adieu to techie Madhusudhan killed in Pahalgam

Tirupati: Software engineer Somisetty Madhusudhan Rao, who was killed in the terror attack at Pahalgam on Tuesday, was laid to rest at his native town Kavali in Nellore district on Thursday.

Madhusudhan Rao, who works as a senior architect at IBM at Bengaluru, went for a vacation with his family to Jammu, and was one among the 26 tourists gunned down by the militants at Pahalgam. He is survived by his wife Kamakshi, daughter Madhu (17) and son Dattu (13).

Family members, relatives and people from all walks of life paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of Madhusudhan Rao at his residence at Byta Kummari street at Kavali since Thursday morning.

Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, state ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Satyakumar Yadav, Nadendla Manohar and other elected representatives met Madhusudhan Rao's family members and extended their solidarity besides assuring all govt support to the family.

During her interaction with Pawan Kalyan, Madhusudhan Rao's wife Kamakshi went into tears while explaining about how the militants gunned down her husband and other tourists in cold blood after ascertaining their religion.

Meanwhile, thousands of people from different parts of Nellore district, congregated at Kavali and took part in the final rites of Madhusudhan Rao on Thursday evening.

The state Deputy CM Pavan Kalyan paid tributes to the mortal remains of former Bank employee Chandra Mouli, who was ilkilled in Pahalgam terrorists attack, in Visakhapatnam on Thursday late night.
