Pacers’ Aaron Nesmith praises Knicks star Jalen Brunson for his athletic prowess Indiana Pacers’ power forward Aaron Nesmith made 6 clutch shots in the final quarter of the game 1 against the New York Knicks. His performance was complemented by Tyrese Haliburton’s contribution towards the humongous score of 138 points. However, the daunting task of leveling up during the last hour of the game was well executed by the Pacers duo. During an interview with the Inside the NBA crew after the game, Aaron Nesmith spoke about Knicks star Jalen Brunson. He went on to reveal being impressed by Brunson’s athletic prowess on the court. Nesmith said,

"He's a phenomenal player. I think we just gotta make it tough on him, give him different reads, you know, force him to take tough shots. And, you know, he's going to make some of them, so we got to live with some of that. But I think there's a lot we can clean up.”

He further elaborated-

"I knew what was going to be asked of me this season. I knew what was going to be asked of me in this series. So this past week, I was just getting my body right, getting my conditioning right, because I knew what it was going to be: guarding Brunson 94 feet, fighting over screens, playing 28–30+ minutes, and being able to make sure I have my legs for my jumper at the end of the game. So, I prepare for these moments.”

Jalen Brunson finished with a great score of 43 points but managed to secure only one field goal during the overtime. The first game was unanimously owned by the Indiana Pacers, but the New York Knicks are looking forward to seeing some action during game 2 on Friday.
