Recently, Nike launched the Vapor Edge Kobe 6 USC Cleat for the USC Trojans only to pay tribute to the basketball legend and his daughter Gianna Bryant. Bryant’s wife Vanessa added a Christmassy vibe to the newly launched shoes.

Kobe Bryant’s wife shared a glimpse of her family members wearing the recently launched Nike shoes that are based on her athletic husband’s style. Well, these shoes were not for sale because the ones who were wearing them were none other than Santa dolls.


Vanessa Bryant shared a picture of the Santa dolls on her Instagram story. According to the shared snaps, the dolls were seen in red knitted sneakers which had a white section near the cap, and on the sides, the Mamba symbol was knitted in black. She captioned the picture as

“That’s Mamba”


The shoes resembled Kobe’s 9 Elite High Protro. The knitted miniature dolls were just a way of paying tribute to the NBA star through his wife Vanessa. Kobe Bryant’s love for shoes is something that has been evident since he joined the NBA. The American athlete’s taste and preference with respect to Fashion still inspire multiple A-listers from the world of basketball.

During an interview with the famous media outlet Complex back in 2018, Kobe Bryant appeared for an interview. The Lakers athlete spoke about his love for Basketball and even expressed his love for shoes. He said-


“Retired or not, wearing sneakers is a part of who I am,”

He further mentioned-

“I’ve literally been in them my whole life. Just because I’m not in uniform every day doesn’t mean I’m not immersed in my product design and staying on top of innovative ideas. Not playing every day gives me even more time to dedicate to it.”

While talking about his signature sneakers, Kobe Bryant even explained about his own brand. He said-

“We build every Kobe shoe with innovation and performance at the pinnacle of design importance. The design team knows that everything going into a Kobe shoe has to push the envelope in innovation.”

He even added

“If it doesn’t, we won’t pursue it. I believe that mentality drives the consumer demand for Kobe products. People know what they’re putting on their feet is high quality. Whether they’re wearing them on or off the court is completely up to them.”
