Hubballi: BY Vijayendra hints at leadership change after Dasara
Hubballi: BJP State President BY Vijayendra stated that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar is at the top of the list of contenders for the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Addressing presspersons Vijayendra said, “Those who were claiming that Siddaramaiah will remain the CM for the next five years, are eyeing the CM position.
He also hinted that a leadership change after Dasara is certain.
Vijayendra criticized Siddaramaiah, stating that the CM is entangled in a series of scandals and has brought up the caste census as a distraction to divert attention from his controversies.
When asked about his appointment as state president despite opposition from some party members, Vijayendra responded that those who have left the party have no moral authority to comment on internal party matters.
Regarding the Rayanna-Chennamma Brigade, he commented, “I am not prepared to say anything about it. It’s like a 20-20 match, while I have come to play a test match.”
Vijayendra also emphasized that he didn’t take on the role of a leader but joined as a dedicated party worker. He refrained from responding to comments made by senior leaders.
