Land Rover has unveiled its latest luxury SUV variant in India – the Range Rover Velar Autobiography – priced at ₹89.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Designed to elevate the Velar’s premium quotient, the new Autobiography trim introduces a blend of subtle design tweaks, advanced technologies, and refined interiors. Offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, this top-tier version seeks to redefine comfort, capability and road presence for Indian luxury car buyers.

Refreshed Design With Premium Accents

The Velar Autobiography maintains the familiar silhouette of the standard Velar, but adds distinct styling elements that elevate its presence. Notable enhancements include copper accents on the bumpers, door panels, and badging, offering a more exclusive look. The SUV also features refreshed 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels and advanced Pixel LED headlamps, combining functionality with striking aesthetics.

Opulent Interior With Advanced Comfort

Inside, the Velar Autobiography offers a premium cabin experience defined by quality materials and thoughtful design. The front seats are upholstered in Windsor leather with 20-way adjustment and built-in massage functions. Rear passengers benefit from power-recline seats for added comfort on long drives.

A suede headliner and a sliding panoramic sunroof enhance the sense of space and light, while the curved 11.4-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital driver display bring in modern digital convenience. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is paired with a Meridian 3D Surround Sound System. A four-zone climate control system ensures individual comfort for all occupants.

Powertrain Options With Terrain Capabilities

Buyers can opt for either a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 247 hp and 365 Nm torque, or a 2.0-litre diesel producing 201 hp and 430 Nm torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Land Rover’s all-wheel-drive system.

In addition, the Velar Autobiography is equipped with Terrain Response 2 for dynamic drive adjustment, Electronic Air Suspension for superior ride comfort, and Adaptive Dynamics for real-time tuning of suspension settings. It also features Wade Sensing technology, which enhances confidence while tackling waterlogged roads.

Safety Features For Assured Driving

On the safety front, the SUV includes a comprehensive set of features such as a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, hill descent control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). These features provide enhanced visibility, better control on difficult terrain, and assistance during tight manoeuvres.

The Velar Autobiography is designed to offer both luxury and peace of mind, delivering a well-rounded package for urban roads and rugged landscapes alike.

Positioned Above The Dynamic SE Variant

This new Autobiography trim now takes the crown as the most luxurious and feature-rich variant in the Velar line-up, positioned above the Dynamic SE, which is currently priced at ₹84.90 lakh. The added equipment, sophisticated styling, and powerful engine options justify the higher price point for buyers seeking top-tier performance and exclusivity.

Aimed At India’s Growing Premium SUV Market

With the launch of the Velar Autobiography, Land Rover strengthens its presence in the Indian luxury SUV market. The brand is clearly focused on catering to evolving customer expectations, blending comfort, technology, and capability into a single, elegant offering.

This launch underlines Land Rover’s commitment to innovation and luxury, reinforcing its appeal among Indian buyers who want both refinement and functionality in their SUV.
