IIM Bodh Gaya Partners with PCI India to Transform Healthcare Management Education
The Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PCI India to improve the public health sector. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare business, which includes large corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, medicines, digital health, and healthcare consulting. Through its association with PCI India, the institute aims to achieve academic excellence in healthcare management education by bridging the gap between industry and academia. Mr. Indrajit Chaudhuri, CEO of PCI India, and Prof. (Dr.) Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, stated that this partnership is strategic and forward-looking, with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) being crucial in promoting academic excellence and making a social impact. Prof. Swapnarag Swain, chairperson of the MBA program in Hospital & Healthcare Management at IIM Bodh Gaya, says that this partnership benefits both parties because it exposes the students to public health challenges and helps them think of possible solutions for project implementations. Students in the MBA-HHM program will participate in a two-week community immersion project as part of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to give them an intensive public health learning experience. In addition, PCI India's subject matter experts will give lectures on pertinent subjects, and the organization will give MBA-HHM students internship possibilities. It is noteworthy that the MBA-HHM program offers a 4-month summer internship, which adds significance to the curriculum. In order to promote knowledge-sharing, creativity, and dialogue on relevant topics in the field of healthcare management, IIM Bodh Gaya and PCI India have also decided to collaborate on research projects and events, including roundtable discussions, seminars, workshops, and conferences. The institute is dedicated to being a center of excellence for healthcare management education and research, and it is continuously adopting calculated actions to significantly impact the healthcare sector.
