India To Host 2025 NetSciX Conference At IIT Indore, Bringing Global Network Science Experts Together
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a first, India is going to organise the 2025 edition of NetSciX, the signature winter conference of the Network Science Society from January 15 to 17. The event will take place at IIT Indore. There will be around 200 participants witnessing 80 talks and 80 posters depicting diverse applications of the emerging area of research in Network Sciences.
NetSciX extends the popular NetSci conference series to provide an additional forum for a growing community of researchers and practitioners working in the emergent areas of network science. The conference fosters interdisciplinary communication and collaboration in network science research across computer and information sciences, physics, mathematics, statistics, life sciences, neuroscience, environmental sciences, social sciences, economics and finance, arts, and design.
Prof Sarika Jalan, faculty at IIT Indore and Prof Hiroki Sayama, Binghamton University, USA are the chairs of the conference, with Prof Bapan Ghosh and Prof Manvendra Mahato, faculties at IIT Indore working as the local organising committee.
Jalan said, “There is a panel of eminent international researchers, who would deliver talks on current research work that includes application of statistical mechanics, graph theory, stochastic process, machine learning and numerical methods to tackle various dynamical problems in epidemics and their control, etc. There are five focus sessions on Multilayer and Temporal Networks, Asian Network Science, Noise, Networks, and Biology, Recent advancements in Network Science and Hypergraphs.”
Previous meetings of this conference have been held in cities across the world such as Venice, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Santiago, Hangzhou, Tel Aviv, Wroclaw and Rio De Janeiro.
