Diljit Dosanjh Makes a Bold Statement: 'No More India Shows Until...'
Singer Diljit Dosanjh has revealed his decision to pause live concerts in India until the country develops better infrastructure for such events. The announcement came during his Chandigarh performance on December 14, with several videos of his statement circulating on social media.
Addressing the audience in Punjabi, Diljit said, "Here we don't have infrastructure for live shows. This is a source of big revenue, many people get work and are able to work here...I'll try next time that the stage is at the centre so that you can be around it. Till this happens, I won't do shows in India, that's for sure."

During the Chandigarh leg of his Dil-Luminati tour , the singer also dedicated the concert to India's chess prodigy, Gukesh Dommaraju , who recently became the International Chess Federation (FIDE) World Champion. He commended Gukesh for his determination and achievements at such a young age.
Diljit took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the event and shared words of encouragement, emphasizing how life's challenges can be overcome by resilience. Quoting the iconic line from the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa, he humorously remarked, "Saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega."
Before his Chandigarh concert , the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) issued an advisory requesting the singer to refrain from performing songs that glorify alcohol, drugs, or violence. Songs like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, and Case were explicitly mentioned in the advisory issued by CCPCR chairperson Shipra Bansal.
Diljit’s India tour will conclude with a final performance in Guwahati on December 29.
