Sanjay Leela Bhansali Opens Up On Salman Khan And Alia Bhatt's Inshallah: 'I'll Suddenly Be Making...'

Since its release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali 's "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar" has been the buzz of the town. Bhansali, a renowned director in Bollywood celebrated for his six dream projects, has already brought "Black," "Bajirao Mastani," and now "Heeramandi" to fruition. The question on everyone's mind now is: will " Inshallah " and the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic be his next endeavors? "Inshallah" had originally lined up Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt for its cast.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali shared with Pinkvilla, “Now, as the 4th, 5th, and 6th unfold, you’ll get to know, right now, I can’t speak. I really don’t know what I’ll make, when I’ll make it, it’s a very spontaneous decision. I’ll be making Gangubai and suddenly I put the script down and say ‘Ram Leela’. So I’ll be suddenly making Inshallah, and I’ll say ‘No, Gangubai (Kathiawadi).’ So I feel it’s about the inner calling of the filmmaker, the inner calling that comes from deep down that ‘ye banao’.”

“Then I am full on onto the project, then I am into the film, and I am making it like it’s me, my soul has to survive, us kisam ki commitment! It’s with everything, so I can’t make a film with because it sounds good on the paper or it’s a good cast, it has to come from deep within to want to make the film, so what I’ll make (I don’t know),” he further added.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next venture is the film 'Love & War,' featuring Alia Bhatt , Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. Officially announced in January 2024, SLB recently shared an update on the movie's music during an interview, disclosing that he has personally composed a song for it.

In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Sanjay Leela Bhansali described the process of creating music for 'Love & War' as "extremely spontaneous," "erratic," and "chaotic." He remarked, “I have created a song for Love & War, and I don’t know where I’ll fit it in, but I have created it. And now I’ll find a way, and I know that song has to be in the film, and without that song, the film would be incomplete.”

Bringing together Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after 17 years, this film also marks the filmmaker's first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, Bhansali reunites with Alia Bhatt following the triumph of "Gangubai Kathiawadi." "Love and War" not only reunites Ranbir and Vicky on the big screen after "Sanju" but also pairs Ranbir and Alia together post "Brahmastra." Scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, this film is set to ignite excitement and anticipation among audiences.
