In a shocking turn of events, actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence in the early hours of January 16. The actor, who lives with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their children Taimur and Jeh, is currently undergoing treatment.

Kareena Rushed Back Home

At the time of the attack, Kareena was reportedly at her sister Karisma Kapoor's house. Karisma shared a post on Instagram tagging Kareena, indicating her sister’s presence there that night. However, visuals of Kareena rushing back home in an autorickshaw soon surfaced online, showing her visibly distressed. Dressed in loungewear, she was seen outside the house, speaking animatedly to staff members as she assessed the situation.

Medical Emergency

The attack took place around 2:30 am, leaving Saif, 54, with six stab wounds, two of which are deep and one dangerously close to his spine. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where a team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, began a critical operation. Dr. Uttamani, who is part of the medical team, confirmed the severity of Saif's injuries.

"Saif has six stabs and two are deep. Of this one is close to spine. He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain and anaesthesiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi," said Dr. Uttamani. "The surgery is still going on. He sustained six injuries, two are minor, two intermediate and two deep injuries, one of the injuries is on the back which is close to spine. A neurosurgeon is involved in the surgery," Dr Uttamani told PTI.

This chilling incident has left fans and industry insiders deeply concerned, while further investigations are underway to apprehend the culprits.
