PM Kisan Yojana: Can Both Farmer Husband And Wife Apply And Avail 18th Installment Benefits? Know Details
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a significant initiative launched by the Government of India aimed at supporting small and marginal farmers. Through this scheme, millions of farmers across the country receive financial assistance to help them sustain their agricultural activities. Under the PM Kisan Yojana , each eligible farmer is entitled to receive Rs 6,000 annually, disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000.
Since its inception, farmers have already benefited from 17 installments under this scheme. However, a common question arises among farmers: Can both husband and wife apply separately and receive the benefit of the scheme?
The answer is no. Only one member of the family can benefit from the PM Kisan Yojana. If a husband and wife are both farmers, the scheme allows only the individual in whose name the land is registered to receive the benefit. Thus, both cannot avail of the scheme simultaneously.
In a special event held in Varanasi in June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Following this, farmers across India are eagerly awaiting the release of the 18th installment .
According to media reports, the central government may release the 18th installment by October, just ahead of Diwali. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this from the government.
