Sonu Nigam says AR Rahman is not a friendly person: 'He doesn't let anyone come close to him'

Reflecting on their first collaboration for Daud , Sonu shared his surprise when Rahman allowed him to sing freely, without giving detailed instructions.

Sonu mentioned that Rahman doesn't open up easily to others, maintaining a focus solely on his professional life, and has never seen him form close personal bonds, except possibly with long-time friends.

Sonu further shared his experience touring the USA with Rahman, revealing that their interactions were limited to polite exchanges. He emphasized that Rahman doesn't engage in gossip or share personal details, describing him as a unique individual focused solely on his work, keeping his personal life private.

The singer also praised the music maestro as a respectful individual who focuses on his work and prayers, avoiding negativity and gossip. He emphasized that Rahman maintains emotional distance from others, not sharing personal details or forming close bonds. Sonu added that Rahman remains attached to his family but keeps others at a distance.
