Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh governor Lt Gen (retd) KT Parnaik Wednesday expressed hope that Children's Day celebration will promote the welfare and rights of kids in the state.
"Today's children are the future leaders of our state," Parnaik said, adding that Nov 14 is dedicated to celebrating them while also raising awareness about their rights, protection and well-being.

"To secure a better tomorrow for the state and the nation, let's give our children the best of today," the governor appealed to all in his message.
Celebrated on Nov 14 every year, Children's Day commemorates the birth anniversary of India's first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
