Maharashtra: Train services disrupted after banker engine derails near Kasara station; restoration underway
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 6 (ANI): Central Railway on Wednesday issued an advisory stating that commuters traveling on long-distance mail and express trains passing through Kasara station in Maharashtra's Thane district wil face delays following the derailment of a banker engine near the station.
Railway authorities are working swiftly to resume normal operations, with restoration efforts already in progress at the incident site.
Central Railway CPRO informed about the derailment and said, "Some Mail express trains are likely to run behind the scheduled time due to the derailment of the banker engine near Kasara Station. Restoration work is in progress."
"No impact on Suburban Services. Kasara-bound suburban services are running as per schedule," said Central Railway CPRO.
