2 girls injured after car driven by boy runs over them in Indore
INDORE: A speeding car mowed down two girls who were painting rangoli in front of their houses ahead of Diwali in Indore’s Bhawani Nagar on Monday evening, leaving them critically injured, assistant commissioner Vivek Singh Chouhan said.
He identified the victims as Priyanshi, aged 18-19 years, and 13-year-old Nivya. The car driver fled the scene, leaving the injured girls behind. Both victims were rushed to hospital.

A CCTV video captured the horrifying crash the hatchback hit the girls, ploughed into a shop and came to a stop only after ramming some parked two wheelers. Local residents overturned the car and staged a protest, accusing police of inaction.
Chouhan said police did not find anything in the car that would indicate intoxication of the driver. Agrawal was arrested at night and was being questioned, he added.
