Gurgaon's 3rd police line to come up on 100-acre plot in Sohna
Gurgaon: An eco-friendly police line in the city's Sohna is set to be built with modern facilities. Spread across 100 acres, the project includes residential quarters, training facilities, and administrative buildings.
This is the third police line after Gurgaon and Manesar with ultra-modern eco-friendly facility.With the new establishment, around 8,000 personnel along with battalions of reserve police and the state's STF personnel will have accommodation facilities.
The proposed facility will also have a state-of-the-art training ground, parade ground, and sports facilities for the police personnel. The project will have multiple towers with different categories of accommodation based on rank and requirements. It also includes plans for a community center, shopping complex, and educational facilities for the families of police personnel.
Green spaces, walking tracks, and parks throughout the complex incorporate the eco-friendly design with solar panels on building rooftops to reduce the carbon footprint of the facility. The housing project will be equipped with rainwater harvesting systems and water recycling plants.Various specialized units, including a cyber crime cell, women's cell, and traffic management unit with modern communication systems and surveillance equipment will also be installed to enhance operational efficiency.
Executive Engineer of Haryana Police Housing Corporation Vikas Sharma said, "The project will have modern architecture, buildings for offices and residential towers for the housing needs."
