Four labourers die after truck crashes into two-wheeler in Madhya Pradesh
BARWANI: Four tribal labourers, including a father and son from Salikala village, died last night in Sendhwa town of Barwani district when a truck laden with chillies lost balance and fell on their two-wheeler.
According to Sendhwa City Police Station In-Charge BS Bisen, four workers died after a truck lost balance after colliding with a cow and fell on their two-wheeler in front of Government Higher Secondary School on the old Agra Mumbai National Highway. The workers were riding on the same two-wheeler and were returning home after working in a cotton ginning factory at Sendhwa.
According to Sendhwa City Police Station In-Charge BS Bisen, four workers died after a truck lost balance after colliding with a cow and fell on their two-wheeler in front of Government Higher Secondary School on the old Agra Mumbai National Highway. The workers were riding on the same two-wheeler and were returning home after working in a cotton ginning factory at Sendhwa.
The deceased workers were identified as Bablu Mehta, 17 years, Rignia Mehta, 40 years, his son Jitendra Mehta, 18 years, and Shyamlal Mehta, 35 years. All of them were returning to their home in Salikala after working in a ginning factory in Sendhwa, he added.
The truck loaded with chillies was going from Dondwara of Pansemal area of Barwani district to Indore. Before falling, the truck also hit a cow, which also died. The truck driver and co-driver fled from the spot. The truck was removed by an earth-moving machine to restore the traffic.
Bodies were sent to the civil hospital for autopsy.
