Jamshedpur: BJP leader and Bihar deputy CM, Vijay Kumar Sinha, said that corruption and mafia raj are rampant in Jharkhand and urged voters to elect a person who is credited for exposing the fodder scam of the Lalu Prasad Yadav govt in Bihar.

Sinha appealed to the voters of the Jamshedpur (West) constituency to elect Saryu Roy. "Saryu Roy is an honest person and a wise politician. He is contesting against Banna Gupta (Congress candidate), who is neck-deep in corruption. Saryu's win will be the defeat of the mafia raj," said Sinha, addressing the media here on Monday.

Further, the deputy CM said that PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar want to restore the rule of law, a corruption-free system, and an accountable govt in the state.

"Mob lynching, crime against women, mining scams, and other criminal activities over the last five years will end with the formation of the double-engine govt in the state," said Sinha.

He said in Bihar, the double-engine govt of Nitish Kumar reigned in mafia raj and paced up development. As a result, the revenue of the state doubled. "In comparison to Bihar, the state of Jharkhand witnessed an increase in the crime graph; the law and order situation is not good," Sinha said.

The Deputy CM attacked the Congress and alleged that the grand old party is the mother of corruption. It deserved to be punished by the voters in this election.
