Koderma: RJD chief Lalu Prasad launched a scathing attack on the BJP during his visit to Telaiya, claiming the party has reduced Jharkhand to a "colony of Nagpur".

Speaking at RJD candidate Subhash Yadav's residence, Prasad accused the BJP of turning the state into a hub of institutional corruption.

In an interview with TOI, the RJD supremo expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc would form the next govt in Jharkhand under Hemant Soren's leadership.

He emphasised RJD's commitment to maintaining social harmony, asserting that politics of hatred would no longer succeed in the state.

Taking aim at the BJP's stance on Sanatan dharma, Prasad criticised the disconnect between the party's rhetoric and actions. "BJP talks about Sanatan dharma, but their conduct doesn't reflect its principles," he said.

Looking ahead to Bihar's 2025 assembly elections, Prasad expressed confidence in his son Tejashwi's leadership. "The people of Bihar trust Tejashwi's leadership because he understands the youths," Prasad said.

Before departing for Belaganj in Gaya district of Bihar, he met with party workers to boost their morale.

The RJD leader's comments come amid growing political tensions in Jharkhand and preparations for upcoming electoral battles in the region.
